Getting started

On first launch, choose three starting dashboards from 24 categories. Then customize the workspace with modes, pages, widgets, themes, accent choices, and local backgrounds.

Widgets and layout

Add supported widgets, then move and resize them within the available layouts. Current tools include notes, tasks, clocks, calendar, calculator, photos, Color Studio, Focus Timer, Time Log, and more.

Workstation recovery

A saved workstation is browser context, not a cloud backup. Recovery can include supported tabs, pinned state, tab groups, and rolling local snapshots. Keep irreplaceable work saved independently.

Quick eXpanse

The side console is for quick notes, focus controls, saved context, approved links, and duplicate-tab cleanup. It is not a cloud account or AI prompt manager.

Weather

Weather is optional and begins only after you choose a location. eXpanse does not need browser geolocation permission for the current weather flow.

Ambient Mode

Ambient Mode animates the workspace presentation, respects reduced-motion preferences, and has different capabilities in Free and Pro.

Trial → Free

What happens after seven days?

The current model keeps an editable Free experience. Free includes three customizable modes, two editable pages per mode, three photos per mode, three recent Time Log sessions, core widgets/basic Ambient, one saved workstation, and three rolling recovery snapshots. Extra content created during trial stays saved; extra modes and pages remain viewable while you choose which three modes use the Free editing allowance.

Troubleshooting
My dashboard looks different after an update.

Reload the extension and Chrome first. Existing Browser Home and recovery storage are intentionally kept separate from the newer Work interface, so do not delete extension data as a first troubleshooting step.

Why can’t I find cloud sync or Google account sync?

Those are not current public eXpanse features. Google-branded widgets provide local information or launch links; they do not imply Google account sync.

Does eXpanse suspend tabs or block websites?

No. The current release does not advertise tab suspension or site blocking. Its browser tools focus on workspace organization, duplicate cleanup, saved workstations, and recovery.

What should I include in a bug report?

Include your Chrome version, eXpanse version if visible, what you expected, what happened, whether the problem survives a normal reload, and a screenshot when useful. Never include license keys, passwords, or other secrets.
