eXpanse store listing

eXpanse // Privacy

Privacy without mystery.

This page describes the current eXpanse data model in plain language. It does not claim cloud sync, hidden AI services, or data collection the extension does not provide.

Local-first workspace

Your everyday workspace is built around data stored with the Chrome profile / extension instead of a required planet.X cloud account.

No cloud-sync claim

Cloud sync is not part of the current public feature promise. Local storage and optional external-service behavior are described separately below.

What stays in Chrome

Dashboard layouts, modes, pages, notes, tasks, local calendar data, widget settings, local photos and backgrounds, Focus and Time Log state, saved workstations, and recovery data are designed around Chrome profile and extension storage rather than a required planet.X cloud account.

Browser recovery data

When you use workstation or recovery features, eXpanse may store the browser context needed to restore that state. Scheduled local recovery snapshots can include supported tab URLs and page titles, pinned state, and tab-group information.

Optional product analytics

Anonymous product analytics is optional and off by default. The analytics design excludes note contents, tab URLs, images, email addresses, and license credentials. Analytics is separate from local Focus Insights.

Weather

Weather is optional. After you choose a location, that location is sent to Open-Meteo so current conditions and a five-day forecast can be returned. eXpanse does not request browser geolocation permission for the current weather flow.

Searches and opened links

Searches and links leave eXpanse for the destination you choose. The destination service receives the normal information involved in visiting or searching through that service and applies its own privacy policy.

License validation

When activation or license validation is used, eXpanse sends the information necessary to validate the entitlement through the existing planet.X licensing gateway. License credentials are not included in optional analytics events.

Google-branded widgets

Google-branded widgets currently provide local information or launch links. They do not represent Google account sync or a hidden Google data connection.

planet.X Bridge

The bridge is limited to declared trusted site origins, approved links, capability discovery, and explicit bounded local text handoffs. It is not an arbitrary remote-command channel and is not designed to expose license keys or browser tab URLs.

Promotions

Trial and Free can display first-party planet.X / Xupply promotions and a dismissible upgrade prompt. Paid Pro can hide those promotions. eXpanse does not claim a third-party affiliate program in the current release.

Your choices

You choose whether to enable anonymous analytics, use weather, save browser workstations, or create recovery snapshots. Removing the extension removes extension-managed data according to Chrome behavior; exported backups or files you deliberately saved outside Chrome remain under your control.
